LAN Segment Requirements Regarding IP Addresses
Whenyouaddanexistingvirtualmachinetoateam,thevirtualmachinemightbe
configuredtoexpectanIPaddressfromaDHCPserver.Unlikehost‐onlyandNAT
networking,LANsegmentshavenoDHCPserverprovidedautomaticallyby
Workstation.
EachnetworkclientmusthaveanIPaddressforTCP/IPne
tworking.Thereforeyou
mustmanuallyconfigureIPaddressingforteamvirtualmachinesonaLANsegment.
Twochoicesareavailable:
DHCP–ConfigureaDHCPserveronyourLANsegmenttoallocateIPaddresses
toyourvirtualmachines.
StaticIP–ConfigureafixedIPaddressforeachvirtualmachineontheLAN
